Non contest Kata Requirments

The following are the current J.F.A.UK
Kata requirements for Grading

Examinations for Kata can be carried out on the day of the Grading or prior to the grading assesed by the Kata official at an area Kata course

Dan grade

Kata required

1st kyu to 1st Dan

Nage no kata +
1st set Ketame no kata

2nd Dan

Nage no Kata +
Katame no kata

3rd Dan

Kaeshi no kata +
Ketame no kata

4th Dan

Kime no Kata

5th Dan

Kime no Kata +
Kaeshi no Kata

  • In some circumstances the Kata assessment may be deferred to a later date, but with a set time scale. The Grading officer will appoint a specific Kata examiner for the examination. Failure to meet these arrangements could result in the grading being unsuccessful.
  • Non contest grades will be required to complete F.P.J teaching courses.
  • Contest contestants will participate into competition against similar grade winning all of their fights.

Adults ( 16 yrs +)
June 12, 2013
8.00pm - 9.45pm Wednesday
