A massive congratulations to Sam Sampson who made his debut on the IJF/EJU European Judo Tour, representing Cyprus this past weekend in Riccione, Italy.
Sam travelled to Italy and took to the stage in a category of 40 judoka consisting of World and European Champions, Olympic Medalists and Commonwealth Champions to test himself against some of the very best modern judoka. Unfortunately, a small margin of error saw Sam go out in round 2 against the 2x former European Champion from Poland.
However, we are still very proud of you Sam! It takes a lot to compete and win at this level. Valuable experience gained nonetheless.
